Objective

The idea of this project is to graph the quality of fruits and vegetables similar to ECG in humans. The purpose of this project is to build a prototype for a portable wireless electronic device capable of measuring live tissue with fruits or vegetables using bioimpedance and some mathematical & electrical models, then transmit data to the base station. This project will add scientific and laboratory value to the basics of the food industries in its various stages and build a database of the electrical properties of a number of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Objective

The objective of this work is to continue the previous work of plastic bags and active packages.

For plastic bags, we continued the results and discussion for :

  • Nano-indentation of nanochitosan composites
  • Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA)
  • Degradation in the soil test
  • Swelling and solubility test
  • Statistical analysis

For the active package, we continued the results and discussion for:

  • Mechanical test of composites
  • Impedance test of composites
  • TGA of the rest of composites
  • XRD of the rest of composites
  • Degradation test of composites
  • Swelling and porosity composites
