  • ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest)

ICPC stands for International Collegiate Programming Contest. It is an annual team-based programming competition. Only university students who haven’t turned 24 yet can compete in the ICPC contests. A single team has 3 participants, each alternate on only one computer. A set of 13-15 problems is given to each group in a time duration of 5 hours. Each team tries to solve the maximum number of problems in the least time possible. The contest is all about problem-solving. Problems are real-world problems that require a knowledge of competitive programming topics. Those topics include data structures, algorithms, dynamic programming, graphs and trees, geometry, and many other issues. Who are we? Other than helping problem solvers and putting them on track, the community has held periodic sessions for three years now. Sessions start from teaching basic programming skills and coding languages to teaching complex algorithms and practical solving approaches. Sessions are held every week. This semester, there are two levels and more to be added to the next one; level 0 teaches basic programming, while level 1 teaches data structures and algorithms. Level 3 is an advanced level that the community seniors guide. Who can join us? Anyone has a passion for learning new algorithms and is eager to compete.

  • Math  Club

The main reason for the existence of the Math Club is to improve the academic and industrial level of the students through the most critical topic, which is Mathematical Modeling. There are many activities and projects at the University, but all the math work is skipped. This results in many non-professional projects and products. Many students fail to understand why things don't behave as expected since they have undermined mathematical modeling. The main reason for this is that there are very few guides and resources provided to the students regarding Mathematical modeling. Modeling is the backbone of Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Economics. Therefore, the mission of the club is to:

• Emphasize the importance of Mathematical Modeling in Engineering fields.

• Provide resources and guidance for students to understand Mathematical modeling, given the limitation of resources and how it is undermined in the University's culture.

• Work with the University's vision for students' projects, and sponsor math courses/projects to help students create professional projects with proper mathematical models. All students fail to make an appropriate mathematical model due to a lack of guidance and experience.

• Work with the University to organize summits and events, and sponsor educational programs for students.
