NIMUN (Nile International Model United Nations) students and alumni participated in this year’s edition of the World Youth Forum and took part in the Model of the United Nations Human Rights Council (MUNHRC) in Sharm El Sheikh.
Our representatives simulated a near-replica of a UNHRC special session, deliberating the impact of COVID-19 on basic human rights with youth from all around the world. Live television captured the announcement of a resolution that might be submitted by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to UN Headquarters in New York. The council received a visit from H.E. President Abdelfattah El-Sisi, who gave a speech about human rights protection in Egypt.
