Description

Introduction to the science of engineering materials and their properties and behavior. Topics include
technical and thermal properties, atomic structure, structure of crystalline solids, imperfections in solids,
mechanical behavior of metals, failure, phase diagrams and phase transformations, properties and
processing of metals alloys, ceramics, polymers and composites, corrosion and degradation of materials and
their environmental effects.
