Description

This is a foundation course that covers basic economic concepts. It deals with macroeconomic variables, theories, policies, and discussions related to the functioning of a given economy. It covers issues such as unemployment, inflation, investment, and interest rates from an aggregate point of view. At the end of the course, participants are expected to critically assess how possible developments in the world economy will affect the economic environment. There should be a clear understanding of the arguments for and against specific policies considering consumers, workers, and businesses.
