This course examines the different types of financial markets and their instruments: the capital market, the money market, and the currency market with emphasis on the first. It covers the different theories concerning both domestic and international markets and includes the effects of risk and maturity on pricing, short-term versus long-term debt or equity financing, primary versus secondary markets and the arrangement of portfolio risk and return using options and features.
