Omar Fahmy is currently an associate professor at the School of Information Technology and Computer Sciences, Nile University in Egypt. He is also a senior researcher at Electrical Engineering Dept., South Ural State University, Russia. He had joined Future University in Egypt as associate professor, assistant professor, assistant lecturer in 2018, 2013, and 2009 respectively. In, 2013, Dr. Omar was awarded a postdoctoral fellow position from Erasmus Mundus Green IT at university of Vigo, Spain. His research interests are in image processing, image forensics, computer vision, machine learning and their related areas. His research work results in 31 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and IEEE conferences in the field of computer vision, machine learning and image processing. He is a member in many reviewing committees of peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Dr. Omar had received his Ph.D. in Communication Engineering from Assiut University in 2012. He received his Master’s, and Bachelor’s degrees in Communication Engineering from Assiut University in 2008, and 2006 respectively.
