Biography

Ahmed Karam is currently an instructor of the environmental engineering at the Civil and Infrastructure Engineering and Management Department, Nile University, Egypt. He has his Bsc degree (2008-2013) and Msc degree (2014-2016) in sanitary and environmental engineering, Cairo University, Egypt. Ahmed works are focusing on municipal and industrial wastewater treatment using different chemical, physical and biological treatment techniques. He evaluated the feasibility of applying algal-bacterial photo-bioreactors for wastewater treatment. He is also investigated different nano sized materials for industrial wastewater treatment. Ahmed is a specialist in pilot plants design, fabrication and implementation and made pilot plants in different wastewater treatment plants and industries. 


Currently, Ahmed‘s research interest focuses on applying the nanotechnology for industrial wastewater treatment. He focuses on investigating an economical treatment method that does not excrete any waste and produces high-quality treated water that can be recycled or reused. He is also focusing on applying different optimization techniques using artificial intelligence and linear regression analysis. Ahmed has many international ranked publications between ranked international journals and conferences. 
Ahmed is expanding his expertise in the field of sanitary and environmental engineering by designing several water and wastewater treatment networks/ plants with industry.
