Dr. Guaily is an associate professor in the mechanical engineering program at the faculty of engineering and applied sciences, Nile University and a former program director of the mechanical engineering program (MENG) and is currently the director of the Smart Engineering Systems Research Center (SESC). He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Cairo University, Egypt in 2002 and 2006, respectively. In 2011, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in mechanical and manufacturing engineering from the university of Calgary, Canada. The current research interests are fluid dynamics with emphasis on both the numerical simulation and mathematical modelling of viscoelastic fluids and molten salts, As well as the use of the level set technique for the study of fluid/structure interaction.
