NU mission is to drive technology-based economies in the region through excellence in scientific research and academic programs. To realize its mission, NU seeks to provide scholarships to deserving young men and women seeking excellence in education and state-of-the-art research at NU for academically outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Application Process

• Fill out the scholarship application Form
• The deadline for application and submission of required admission documents is 15 August 2022. 
• New or incomplete applications will NOT be considered beyond this date.
• Short-listed candidates fulfilling the REQUIRED criteria will be invited for interviews with NU scholarship committee.
• Interviewed applicants could be invited for a second interview with the funding institute for final selection.

Selection depends on a specific combination of several factors:

• High School Score (with different scores according to the type of high school certificate)
• Financial need
• Extra achievements or awards
• Personal interview (attitude, commitment to the scholarship, etc.)
• Any additional criteria specified by the funding institutions. 

N.B:

- Merit Scholarships: A merit scholarship is offered to academically outstanding students in the first year based on their high school scores.

- Transfer Students' scholarships in their first year at NU will be calculated according to their high school percentage.

- 5% scholarship is granted for excellence in sports.

Nile University Scholarships

Nile University (NU) is offering full scholarships for the top 10 Thanaweya Amma students applying for undergraduate studies at NU in Business, Engineering, Computer Science and Biotechnology covering the full duration of the study.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Be among the top 10 Thanaweya Amma achievers in the Scientific section (Science), or among the top 10 Thanaweya Amma achievers in Scientific section (Math), or among the top 10 Thanaweya Amma achievers in Arts section. 
• Demonstrate a strong record of extra-curricular activities, research, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship abilities and participation in philanthropic activities.
• Satisfy admission requirements at NU, including English language proficiency.

Scholarship Policy:

• High academic progress toward completion of degree requirements: The scholarship recipient is required to maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA throughout the course of study. Failure to maintain the required GPA will result in losing their place in the scholarship program.
• The scholarship program is designed to help students complete their degree requirements within the specific number of semesters for their selected major.
• The Scholarship covers Fall and Spring semesters only.

Sawiris Distinction Scholarship for Public 
High School Graduates

Sawiris Foundation is offering full scholarships to Egyptian students applying for undergraduate studies at Nile University for all Nile University schools covering the full duration of study.

Eligibility Criteria:

• To be an Egyptian national residing in Egypt (preference will not be given to dual nationality holders).
• To be a graduate of Egyptian Thanaweya Amma public schools in 2021/2022 with a score no less than 90%.
• Applicants must meet all the criteria set by the university that they will be applying to.
• Applicants must not have lived more than three years abroad.
• Priority will be given to those with demonstrated financial need, academic excellence, and engagement in extracurricular activities.
• The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation and stipends for students from other governorates, books and educational materials and a laptop.
• Preference will be given to Takaful and Karama program beneficiaries.
• Be committed to working in Egypt for 3 years after graduation and completing military service, where applicable.
• Complete the admission requirements at NU, including the English language proficiency test.
• The applicant must apply in "Tanseeq" and should select NU to be (رغبة أولى) when they apply for Tanseeq.

Egyptian Refining Company (ERC)

Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) is offering the full scholarship “Mostakbaly” directed to students from areas of El Matariya, El Khosos and East Shoubra El Kheima applying for undergraduate studies at Nile University at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences or School of Information Technology and Computer Science covering the full duration of the study.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Minimum High School Score determined according to 2022 "Tanseeq" is required.
• Proof of residence in the areas of El Matariya, El Khosos or East Shoubra El Kheima is a must to be eligible for the scholarship.
• The student must have graduated in the current academic year with a High School certificate of Thanaweya Amma from a public school, with strong academic performance.
• The student must satisfy the admission requirements for the Supreme Council of Universities and Nile University, including English language proficiency.
• The student must demonstrate a strong record of extra-curricular activities, research, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship abilities and participation in philanthropic activities.
• The student must perform well in placement exams and interviews to be selected for Mostakbaly Scholarship.

 
The Scholarship Policy

• High academic progress toward completion of degree requirements is required to maintain the scholarship.
• The scholarship program is designed to help students complete their degree requirements within the specified number of semesters for their selected major.
• The scholarship covers Fall and Spring semesters only.
• The scholarship offers students a monthly allowance (for the period of 8 months) to cover transportation and education expenses.
• Maintaining an acceptable level of attendance in all classes and receiving no disciplinary warnings is a must.
