Mission

Applied Biotechnology aims at tooling up students with multidisciplinary training in applied biotechnology sectors in addition to appropriate communication skills and providing scientific and business communities with highly skilled individuals for employment in this important field.

Applied Biotechnology major provides students with the scientific background and laboratory experience necessary to use biotechnology for the development of applications relevant to biology-based industries and institutions such as biomedical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological, agricultural and food industries and the environment. This is achieved by bringing together study areas such as animals, food science, forestry, entomology, and plants throughout the major.

Our main responsibility is to educate our students and prepare them for practical life. We attempt to expand their minds, broaden their experiences, and sharpen their abilities by imparting both theoretical knowledge and workable skills.
